What a difference a year makes

About the same time last year.....

Gracie was....

Reed was...

Now Reed's riding bikes...

Gracie is now Miss Personality...

loves spending time catching up on the latest news on the internet...

Reed's trying to learn to eat with Chopsticks...

Love's getting to "play" upstairs...

First time to get to ride the bike outside!

Everything Reed does Gracie wants to try too!

Gracie is learning to play by herself (we thought this day would never come). It's so cute.

Can you see the excitement? They are about to get to play in the snow.

Gracie doesn't know what to think...

Snow cones make it all worth it...

Reed has learned that he is a tongue roller... We don't remember the genetics but both Emily and I are tongue rollers so we've always told him that he should be able to do it.

Turning back the clock - Disney Recap (Sept '10)

*I figured since its been a while since I've updated the post I might as well get in the time machine and go way-way back and finish an unfinished series. Reed has already been asking about when we are going back to Disney World. Looking back at the pictures I am pretty sure that we wouldn't be able to do it with three kids unless we had help from one or both sets of  grandparents. Three kids = Staycation. With it being all snowy here it makes really nice to look back at all these sunny pictures.

...back at the Magic Kingdom the kids weren't much for waiting in lines.

Reed enthused...

Outside however, there was dancing in the streets...

Reed and Mommy posing for a picture...

Grace and Daddy posing for a picture. My pretty little girl.

Reeds's favorite water area was right next to the roller coaster that he could ride. (The Barnstormer). He got to ride the coaster at least ten times and then cooled off right next door.

Reed was having lots of fun.

Meanwhile....

Gracie was catching some zzz's. But it was okay since her Bubba would come back and check on her every 5 minutes to make sure she was okay.

Eating snacks... its amazing to me that Disney world is so confident that they can get all of your money they let you bring food into the park.

Family: All for one and one for all!

The next day at Epcot...

Nice message we got while walking into the park.

Go to Jesus. U + God = :)

No Emily wasn't trying to sneak Gracie on the ride... we just had one tired little monkey.

15 minutes later there is no better reason to wake up for lunch and wait for daddy to ride the new hang glider ride.

Reed wanted to take one of these home on the plane. I don't think it would have fit as a carry-on.

Reed holding the spaceship Earth ride in one hand.

I must be getting old because the live action singing shows were getting to be some of my favorites. Gracie just loves the singing.

These were singers for the United States part of the World Showcase. I can't remember exactly which one but they sang a beautiful old hymn.

On the second to last day on Florida we went to the Holy Land Experience. The place had a number of great dramas but not a whole lot for the kids. Reed got to see a passion play and it was amazing that he understood and got to see acted out what he has been taught through reading and stories.

One of the many really good dramas.

Outside the cafe...

At the Passion play....

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

As i said Reed really had an better understanding of the Gospel after seeing this. He began to explain it to us after he got to see Jesus rise again after three days. You can see the look of concern on Reed's face.

Reed so proud of himself climbing up on the mushroom seats in the ampitheater...I can't believe he has grown so much since this picture in just a few months.

 Pretty girls.

Even though we didn't get the hotel we wanted off of priceline, the Omni was was nice and Reed absolutely loved the pool. The kiddos had fun playing in the rooms and made the best of it.

What do you mean the end table isn't a jungle gym?

Last day back at the Magic Kingdom we rode all the favorite rides again. Of course Gracie wanted to ride the Pooh ride.

Reed- Can we ride it again?

I think we stayed the perfect amount of time. Because on the last day I think we wiped the kids out. They were done.

It may not look comfortable...but she was out.

Reed's favorite rides were still the monorail, tram, and trains.
So it was fitting the "last ride" is a tram ride before going home.

Loving those small things in life. Holding mommy's hand on the left...

Holding Daddy's leg on the right...
